I’m at a crossroads
5 years and 57000+ posts and now my public facing blog page is marked “ This Tumblr “MAY” contain sensitive media.”
I have messages that state I have posted something from a blog that has adult content, so everything from that blog is banned on everyone else’s blog that has reposted any content and by this global censorship, my blog is now blocked even though what I reposted is motorcycle. I have no way of knowing what blog or even if that blog is still active. And of course, the Overseers don’t give you the ability to review in bulk what is offensive to their broadly defined terms of “Aw Shit”.
So, what to do? I’ve spent the morning using the mass editor to delete “nipples” and this is entirely too time consuming. It’s not that there are 1000′s of photos of nipples, If I spent 15 seconds reviewing each of the 57K+ thumbnails, it would take more than 6 weeks @ 40 hours per week, reviewing all of my posts for material that offends some badly written code.
I think what I will do is delete the first 3 years of my blog, review the last two and wait for Tumblr’s Net Nannies to pull their thumbs out of their 4th point of contact and release my blog.
If that doesn’t work, I’m whacking the blog and bring it back, hopefully I can use the same name, if not I hope those of you who have liked and enjoyed my blog will find me again.
